Katy Franco is a Puerto Rican actress, screamingly funny stand up comic, author, certified laughter leader, & inspirational speaker. Performing in both English & Spanish, she has appeared throughout the US, Puerto Rico, & South America on screen & stage. She was a recipient of the 2012 Golden Laughter Award (Rire D'Or) from France's International School of Laughter for promotion of laughter as an aid to the treatment of cancer.
As a breast cancer survivor, she has appeared on stage & in countless news programs, magazines, & newspaper stories for the purpose of teaching people how to deal with cancer. With her husband Ken Phillips, she cowrote CHEMORELLA, a Cinderella story about beating cancer & seeing your dreams come true. Her offbeat experiences as a breast cancer patient became her 1 woman show "The Breast Years of My Life." As a comic, she weaves stand up comedy, laughter therapy, a narrated mime presentation of CHEMORELLA, & her own true story into a powerful, hysterical show!
