Description

An internationally acclaimed musician, Jane Bunnett is known for her creative integrity, improvisational daring, and courageous artistry. Her exploration of Afro-Cuban melodies expresses the universality of music. Her ability to embrace and showcase the rhythms and culture of Cuba has been groundbreaking. She has toured the world bringing her own special sound to numerous jazz festivals displaying her versatility as a flutist, saxophonist, and pianist.

For their special Christmas show, Jane is using vocalist and sacred steel player Nikki D. Brown, who is a guest on their new CD Tierra Firme.


New addition to the show: Tuck & Patti

Vocalist Patti Cathcart and guitarist Tuck Andress have been a steady performing duo for so long now, going on three decades, that it’s somewhat surprising that I Remember You—their new T&P Records recording, licensed to Universal Music—zeroes in on the Great American Songbook. Surely they’ve already recorded their take on these enduring standards.

“How’s this for a job description: ‘For your partner, choose your favorite person. Make your life a living meditation on Love. Put that into music so other people can share it. Be sure to use your creativity and don’t forget to become more and more yourself. Travel around the world and meet the coolest people (they will come to where you work and introduce themselves so you don’t have to search them out). You’ll be unsupervised; just get the job done your way to your satisfaction.’ The hours may be long, but that’s not a bad way to make a living.”

As an exciting new feature this concert season, we are introducing pre-show dinners for selected concerts. This show, will have seatings for a fixed-menu dinner at 5:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. in our in-house dining hall.

The seating will feature round, family-style tables and will be set at 4 patrons per table.
