Bound for Glory, the Woody Guthrie biopic, a snapshot of the Depression era in America, is directed by Hal Ashby (Shampoo) and features majestic camera work by the great Haskell Wexler (Medium Cool). A bravura lead performance by David Carradine (Boxcar Bertha) as the famed singer-songwriter is complemented by the supporting performances of Melinda Dillon (Close Encounters of the Third Kind), Gail Strickland (The Man in the Moon) and Ronny Cox (Beverly Hills Cop).
