2024 Total Solar Eclipse

Showings

Description

Join us on April 8, 2024, at the cinema as a total solar eclipse moves across North America, traveling through Mexico, across the United States from Texas to Maine, and out across Canada’s Atlantic coast. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.

South Florida is not in the path of totality. For us, the eclipse will be visible as a partial solar eclipse, reaching its peak is 3:01 PM, with about half of the sun blocked by the moon. You can still see spectacular live views from across the path, expert commentary, live demos, and more from the NASA official broadcast on our screen!

Bring your co-workers and friends. Enjoy snacks and drinks, including beer and wine, available for purchase from our concession stand. Drop in anytime during the broadcast!

This will be the last total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States until 2044!

WARNING: Except during the brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun’s bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing. Indirect viewing methods, such as pinhole projectors, can also be used to experience an eclipse. For more on how to safely view this eclipse, visit this link. We have a limited number of protective glasses available, but please bring your own if you have them or make your own pinhole projector using household items!

This event is FREE and open to the public! No ticket is required.
