The Michigan Theater Foundation can and must remain strong to fulfill our mission of preserving our historic theaters and bringing the joy of cinema to downtown Ann Arbor. To succeed we need your support. You can help by making a gift of any size, whatever is meaningful to you.


Under the CARES Act, increased charitable deductions are now available to allow taxpayers to immediately support the charities they love. Please consider donating today.
  • If you do not itemize: you can make up to a $300 cash donation and deduct the donation "above-the-line" from your income prior to calculating your adjusted gross income. This deduction is available in addition to the standard deduction, and is permanent beginning in 2020.

  • If you do itemize: you can make a cash donation and deduct up to 100% from your adjusted gross income (a change from the usual 60%). This is available for the 2020 tax year only.
