 The crowning jewel in David Lynch's twisted crown comes dressed as a noir by way of a fever dream in the seedy world of Hollywood. When starry eyed Betty (Naomi Watts) sets off to LA to realize her dreams as an actress, she sees the true Tinseltown in all its glory. Quickly befriending an unnamed & enigmatic amnesiac woman (Laura Harring), the innocent Betty is ill prepared for the twists and turns that lie in wait. Originally conceived as a television pilot (which unfortunately failed to impress the execs), Mulholland Drive is one of only two films from the 21st century to be included in Sight & Sound’s list of the fifty greatest films ever. Lynch himself received the Best Director award at Cannes and was nominated for the same award by the Academy.
