THE LOST BOYS steamrolls our senses with an overdose of neon
blood-suckers, cocaine clouds, and unholy saxophone solos from greasy
bodybuilders. It’s a gift from a place that can’t be defined, a movie so
perfectly perfect that it pushes beyond the concept of “horror” and
into the concept of “life doesn’t get better than this.” It all goes
down in the seaside town of Santa Carla, where newly arrived brothers
Jason Patric and Corey Haim become embroiled with a gang of
youthful-looking but ageless bloodsuckers led by Kiefer Sutherland.
Patric is seduced by beautiful vamp Jami Gertz, Haim falls in with
self-styled vampire hunters the Frog Brothers, and it leads to a
mini-apocalyptic confrontation between the living and the dead. Make
sure to bring extra fists to pump because you’re gonna need ‘em.
