Back by popular demand, the Nantucket Film Festival and The Dreamland Film & Cultural Center are proud to present a spectacular pre-Film Festival launch event. This year, the laughs will abound with the silent, comedy classic THE FRESHMAN, with a live musical accompaniment by the Berklee College of Music Silent Film Orchestra.

Since its 1925 premiere, THE FRESHMAN has entertained generations of audiences and in 1990 was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”. The film tells the story of a college freshman trying to become popular by joining his school’s football team. Starring Harold Lloyd, Jobyna Ralston, Brooks Benedict, and James Anderson.
