Description

Cartoonist Jeff Danziger attending.

Post-show Q&A

Freedom of expression is under attack, and, as highlighted in the attacks on Charlie Hebdo, it’s the artists on the front lines.

In Stéphanie Volloatto’s timely documentary, 12 loveable lunatics capture the comic and tragic from four corners of the planet—France, Tunisia, Russia, US, Burkina Faso, China, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Israel, and Palestine. These cartoonists risk their lives to defend democracy, with a smile on their faces and a pencil as their only weapon.
