Description

Screening with Forecast Public Art short film Ady and the Polygraph, April 10.

True Detective, Spainsh-style! A series of brutal murders of adolescent girls in a remote and forgotten town bring together two disparate characters—both detectives in the homicide division—to investigate the cases. With deep divisions in their ideology, detectives Juan and Pedro must put aside their differences if they are to successfully hunt down a killer who for years has terrorized a community in the shadow of a general disregard for women rooted in a misogynistic past.

Alberto Rodriguez paints a gritty noir portrait of rural Spain circa 1980, rich with style, ambience and character.

A year ago, Ady Olson read an article on Cleve Backster, the CIA polygraph expert who spent his life trying to prove plant ‘consciousness’ . Now she is on an adventure to try his experiments for herself with her very own suitcase polygraph. This short film travels with her as she discovers what Cleve calls ‘primary perception’ and explores how to share her fascination of plant intelligence with others through a development grant from the public art organization, Forecast.
