Description

A lighthearted comedy depicting three intersecting stories that all take place on an average day in Cairo. Lila (Mervat Amin), a retired actress, seeks a divorce for an on-screen marriage from her former co-star Sameh (Samir Sabri). Salma (Ayten Amer) and Wael (Karim Kassem), a young couple who have borrowed their leftist friend’s apartment for the day, consider making love for the first time, but the two struggle with their own interpretations of social and religious conventions in Egypt. Hazem (Sherif Ramzy), a well-intentioned, but misguided drug dealer on a dangerous run from Alexandria to Cairo, picks up a hitchhiking old man with Alzheimer’s, played by legendary Egyptian actor Nour El-Sherif. In his final performance on the silver screen, El-Sherif depicts a man in search of an image from his past, the last fragment of his waning memory.
