In
the tradition of The Hills Have Eyes and Lawrence of Arabia!
Three showgirls on their
way to a gig in Vegas break down in the desert, where they are soon abducted by a
demented ringmaster, Andre (cult superstar and Tarantino favorite Andrew
Prine). Andre also has a 'Psycho"-style mother complex and his old
man has been transformed into a hideous homicidal post-nuclear mutant!
Believe
it or not, this film is an early directorial effort from Robert Altman's
favorite protege Alan (Welcome to L.A.,
Trouble in Mind) Rudolph.
