Description

Andrew Cividino’s painfully honest coming-of-age story takes place on the sunny Canadian shores of Lake Superior. Nate and Riley, two young ruffian cousins, befriend shy Adam into their summer vacation clique as they wile away their carefree time, often “doing as boys do.” An edge of playful bullying and tough camaraderie seals the boys’ friendship with an ambience of anxious tension and unpredictable danger. Cividino’s first feature is a sparkling debut that rips open the raw emotions of adolescence with the help of his young actors and a pitch perfect script.
