Young Malory seems destined to become a statistic. In and out of trouble since a very young age and ineffectually parented by his drug addicted single mother, Malory is no stranger to juvenile detention. Assigned to a resilient child court judge (Catherine Deneuve) and a tough youth counselor (Benoît Magmel), Malory is sent to a bucolic rehabilitation center that may have just the right combination to find the boy behind the time bomb. Actress turned director Emmanuelle Bercot delivers a slice of social realism—with electric newcomer Rod Paradot as Malory—that compassionately confronts both intense volatility and irrepressible hope.
