Description
For many, Palestine brings to mind thoughts of war, violence, and poverty, not race car drivers, and definitely not female race car drivers. However, that is exactly what the Speed Sisters are out to change. As the first all-female race car team in the Middle East, the Speed Sisters shatter stereotypes in an extremely male-dominated field. This soaring documentary follows the individual members of the team in their personal lives, as well as the team as a whole, as they contend with rampant sexism, economic hardships, and a lack of basic needs, such as usable race tracks. An inspiring, crowd-pleasing documentary, Speed Sisters shows a side to Palestine that is not seen in the news, and a side that will have viewers cheering the drivers through their races and their lives.

Special Guest Appearance!

Producer JESSICA DEVANEY will join us for a post-screening Q&A following the Monday, June 6 screening at 7 PM.
