Description

Join us August 24 at dusk for our third presentation of Silver Screen at Silverwood Park, featuring a screening of Medicine of the Wolf, filmmaker Julia Huffman's MN Made documentary that premiered at 2015 MSPIFF. Arrive early for a pre-film concert that will begin at 6:30pm.

In the case of rain or inclement weather, this screening will be held indoors in Silverwood Park's Great Hall.

Filmmaker Julia Huffman travels to Minnesota and into wolf country to pursue the deep intrinsic value of brother wolf and our forgotten promise to him. Questioning the rational of wolf hunts, the film features captivating testimony from world renown environmentalist and National Geographic photographer, Jim Brandenburg, someone who has studied and been on the ground with wolves for 45 years--longer than anyone in history--as well as a Medicine Man, Chi Ma'iingan (Big Wolf), from Red Lake Nation and Wolf Scientist John Vucetich.

Can’t make it to the screening? Watch the film online at medicineofthewolf.com or purchase a DVD here.
