In her latest film, Andrea Sedlácková maps the life of Václav Havel using period recordings, photographs and other historical materials. The film paints an elegant portrait of the playwright, dissident and president of the Czech Republic, whose life was rich in paradoxes and meant so much to the director’s generation and Havel’s country.
