HALLOWEEN II (1981) *35TH ANNIVERSARY SCREENING

John Carpenter’s “Halloween” scared the living daylights out of 25 million people and set a precedent in smashing box-office records for a horror film. And now, prepare yourself to go one step further as the nightmare continues in “Halloween II”.

Picking up precisely where its predecessor left off, “Halloween II” follows the same ill-fated characters as they encounter the knife-wielding terror they left for dead in the first “Halloween”. But this time they discover the motive behind his savage actions. Written and produced by the original creators of “Halloween”, John Carpenter and Debra Hill, “Halloween II” brings back Jamie Lee Curtis as the hapless victim, as well as Donald Pleasence who reprises his role as Dr. Loomis, hot on the trail of the crazed psychopath. “Halloween II”. And just when you thought it was safe to go trick-or-treating again! (US, 1981, 93 min, R, 35mm, Dir. Rick Rosenthal)

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE PART 2 (1986) *30TH ANNIVERSARY SCREENING

Plunge into the unimaginable heart of sheer, unrelenting horror! The blood-splattered saga of the original cult shocker – THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE – continues, as “Leatherface” returns and the screaming begins again!

Ten years ago, a demented family of killers butchered his loved ones. Now, DENNIS HOPPER (APOCALYPSE NOW, BLUE VELVET) is determined to wreak violent revenge. The trail of gore leads to a catacomb of surrealistic caverns, where unspeakable evil is committed – and innocent victims become the ghastly “ingredients” of a nightmarish enterprise. A gripping new experience in terror from the creator of the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, director TOBE HOOPER (POLTERGEIST, INVADERS FROM MARS). (US, 1986, 101 min, Unrated, 35mm, Dir. Tobe Hooper)

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (1984)

The body count continues in this vivid thriller, the fourth – but not final – story in the wildly successful Friday the 13th series. Jason, Crystal Lake’s least popular citizen, returns to wreak havoc in Friday the 13th – The Final Chapter.

After his revival in the hospital morgue, the hockey-masked murderer fixes his vengeful attention on the Jarvis family and a group of hitherto carefree teenagers. Young Tommy Jarvis is an aficionado of horror films with a special talent for masks and make-up. Has the diabolical Jason finally met his match? (US, 1984, 91 min, R, 35mm, Dir. Joseph Zito)

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS (1987)

The uncontrollably evil FREDDY KRUEGER returns to spice-up the dreams of fresh victims in this spectacular new shocker from original NIGHTMARE creator WES CRAVEN!

It’s been years since the demented child-killer Freddy Krueger was torched by an avenging mob on Elm Street. Now, the last of the “Elm Street Kids” have moved – into a psychiatric ward! There, the diabolical Freddy haunts their dreams, torturing them with a ghastly, surreal assortment of unspeakable ordeals! Their only hope is dream researcher Nancy Thompson (HEATHER LANGENKAMP of NIGHTMARE 1), who helps them band together to face the supernatural maniac on his own turf. But, once inside Freddy’s seething, hallucinatory dream-world, there’s only one way out – straight through a hellish, heart-stopping nightmare of pure, razor edged terror! (US, 1987, 96 min, R, 35mm, Dir. Chuck Russell)
