Description

The Nantucket Comedy Festival presents the 2017 debut of the Stand Up & Learn Winter Workshop and Professional Comedy Series, sponsored by Jill & Steve Karp.  Executive Director Kevin Flynn and nationally headlining comedians will be on island to entertain local audiences and conduct Stand Up & Learn, a comedy education program for people aged 8–18.  Saturday evening our professional stand-up comedy show (for ages 18 and over) in the Dreamland’s main theater will feature Mark Riccadonna & Artie Januario.

MARK RICCADONNA

Mark Riccadonna grew up an artsy jock outside of Youngstown, Ohio.  At age 17 (like a bad independent movie), Mark moved to NYC in search of himself and happiness.  He pursued Theatre at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, joining "The Company" after graduation.  Soon after, Mark stumbled upon stand up Comedy and found success as a storyteller, performing throughout New York City, and on the road.  Mark also performs for Armed Forces Entertainment, and has entertained U.S. and U.N. Troops worldwide, performing in six continents while working with his childhood heroes.  Outside of comedy, Mark is an accomplished actor and writer.  Most recently Mark has a lead role in the feature film "Days of Power" and is writing for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.

ARTIE JANUARIO

Artie is one of Boston's premier comedians. He's a pharmacist by day and a comedian by night.  Artie's relatable and hilarious act has brought him all around the country.  In 2013, Artie was a featured act at Denis Leary's “Comics Come Home” fundraiser.  He has become one of the most well-known and respected comedians in the country.  Artie makes any show a resounding success.
