Detroit Public Television and Cinetopia Festival present Ken Burns: A PBS Preview Event. Ken Burns, Ann Arbor native and one of America’s most acclaimed filmmakers, will present a showcase of his latest work. After screening excerpts - many of which are being seen publicly for the first time at this special screening - Burns will discuss with the audience his upcoming projects and, more generally, his work as a filmmaker and historian. An excerpt of the new documentary “The Vietnam War,” directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, courtesy of Detroit Public Television, will premiere at the Cinetopia Film Festival in Detroit on Friday June 9 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Tickets are $10.
