The only child of a Chinese mother and an Iranian father, young poet Rosie Ming lives with her Chinese grandparents after her mother’s death and father’s supposed abandonment. Now a young poet obsessed with France, and especially Paris, Rosie is invited to perform at a Poetry Festival in Shiraz, Iran. She finds herself in the company of poets from all over the world, especially Iranians, who share stories that make her question the story of her father’s disappearance.
This sweet animated film features the vocal work of Sandra Oh as Rosie, and even includes new work from acclaimed poet Taylor Mali.

Ann Marie Fleming: Ann Marie Fleming has been making award-winning films for over 25 years. She has over two dozen shorts, documentaries, and feature films to her credit, including the animated feature documentary, The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam, which she adapted into a graphic novel that won Best Canadian Comic and was nominated for two Eisner Awards.
