Husband and wife Farkas and Eszter constantly bicker about the best way to parent their hyper-active, five-year-old son. He accuses her of being too permissive; she feels that he isn’t very involved. Just as Eszter bitterly wonders aloud, “why are we still together?” a knock at the door interrupts… An unexpected visit for an indefinite amount of time from Eszter’s sister—with her husband and daughter in tow—throws their already chaotic household into turmoil.
In his seventh feature, versatile Hungarian filmmaker Szabolcs Hajdu (who also plays Farkas) orchestrates a fresh and funny chamber piece about midlife marital crises that strikes a universal chord.
