Painstakingly hand-drawn by a single animator over four years, Nova Seed is a throwback to MTV’s Liquid Television, Heavy Metal, and the work of Ralph Bakshi. When Dr. Mindskull seeks to control the planet through the wielding of the Nova Seed, an entity that could help bring back the Earth’s ecosystem, it is up to a group of animal-human hybrids called NACs to stop him. A striking example of world-building and the power of a single person’s vision, this work of Canadian director Nick DiLiberto reveals a man profoundly obsessed with the world of stories and the magic of hand-drawn animation from his youth. Nova Seed will startle and delight you with its incredible images, stunning battles, cool machines, and weird monsters inspired by Ray Harryhausen. “I am in bewildered awe of what I have seen…” - ForcesofGeek.com
