Description

Several years after taking revenge on the motorcycle gang that killed his wife and son, “Mad” Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson in one of his finest roles) roams the Australian wastelands armed with a sawed-off shotgun and his trusty supercharged V-8 Pursuit Special. After encountering a small, gasoline rich community, he agrees to help them fend off a group of leather-clad marauders seeking to steal the precious fuel. Proving that sequels can be as good, if not better, than the originals, Mad Max: The Road Warrior is a masterfully-crafted film that popularized the post-apocalypse genre of the 80’s. It combined beautiful wide-screen cinematography of vast desert landscapes by Dean Semler, a punk and bondage aesthetic by costume designer Norma Moriceau, and Miller’s cynical-yet-hopeful vision of our potential future.
