Proving that sequels can be as good, if not better, than the originals, Mad Max: The Road Warrior is a masterfully-crafted film that popularized the post-apocalypse genre of the 80’s. It combined beautiful wide-screen cinematography of vast desert landscapes by Dean Semler, a punk and bondage aesthetic by costume designer Norma Moriceau, and Miller’s cynical-yet-hopeful vision of our potential future.
