Description

Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny team up for the zaniest basketball game ever played. Moron Mountain, an intergalactic amusement park, is losing customers hand over fist so its owner sends his diminutive henchmen, the Nerdlucks, to kidnap the Looney Tunes and revitalize the business. Bugs and the rest of the cartoon crew challenge the aliens to a game of basketball, thinking they have it in the bag. But when the Nerdlucks steal the talents of a number of NBA all-stars, including Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing, and become the Monstars, Bugs turns to the only man capable of helping the Tunes: Michael Jordan. Released in 1996, Space Jam was standard viewing for every kid who grew up in the 90’s. But don’t think this live-action/animated hybrid was just a cash grab: it features the talents of Bill Murray and was photographed by Michael Chapman (Jaws, Taxi Driver). So everybody get up, ‘cause it’s time to slam now.
