Cat Stevens, Janis Ian, Melanie, Bob Dylan, and Joan Baez. Join archivist Bill Shelley for an amazing evening featuring rare performance by these great stars, and many more! Besides the traditions of preserving the songs of anonymous composers whose works were passed on from generation to generation, the folksinger-songwriters of the 1960’s and 1970’s added their own views and stories to the folk tradition. From personal stories to political protests, these artists challenged our minds, entertained us, and recorded our history. With guitars in hand, they ruled the coffee houses and airwaves with their songs and struck a nerve with the younger generation. Approx. 100 minutes.
