TWO DAY INDEPENDENT FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
Saturday and Sunday, July 22 and 23, 9:30-12 noon
Members $50 | Public $60

Come to the Cinema and learn how to make independent films. Glenn Andreiev, a Long Island independent filmmaker who has recently finished, on schedule and on budget, two feature documentaries, is giving a two-day class on how to get a film, your film, made. In the class, Mr. Andreiev will show how to raise money via crowdfunding, organize your shoot so you get the most creative bang for less labor and cash, get location owners to say "yes", organize and edit your film, and finally get your finished product out there. Students will also be given a list of local resources that benefit indie filmmakers on a budget.

Glenn Andreiev is a longtime Long Island filmmaker and film historian. He has lectured at the Cinema Arts Centre, local libraries, the Northport VA, and at School of Visual Arts, where he holds a BFA in Film. His work as a film-maker has appeared on CNN, TruTV, Newsday, and The View. His recent films are Lost Emulsion and The Wendy Wild Story. His newest film is Thrilling – a collection of short stories about valiant women.
