NEW! DYNAMIC and INTERACTIVE PROGRAMMING at the Cinema Arts Centre! "Cinema For Kids" adds The FANTASTIC FUNHOUSE!

The Cinema Arts Centre invites children and families to experience the vivacious Gene Wilder in this classic tale of the love of candy and the triumph of character! While up to 300 children and adults may attend our screening, a very special post-screening extravaganza – the Fantastic Funhouse - will include 30 lucky kids who have the "Golden Ticket."

Co-created by teaching artist, Anu Annam, and professional performance artist, Christopher A. Nicola, the FANTASTIC FUNHOUSE will transform the Sky Room Café into a colorful, hand-painted Chocolate Factory where children may romp with a team of Fantastic Funhouse Jesters! Kids 6-12 will be assisted by Jesters in making fresh chocolate lollipops and going on a goody hunt in the Garden of Candy to fill treat bags. Kids will receive a healthy snack after the movie and souvenir movie coloring books that they can get started on in the Fantastic Funhouse with rainbow crayons and watercolors! Program co-creator, Anu Annam and experienced teachers from the YMCA, will lead the children in learning to mix colors, improving art techniques through use of crayon, paint, and the colorful chocolate itself!

Anu Annam has taught art for 14 years at institutions including the Art League of Long Island, the YMCA of Huntington, the Town of Huntington, Not Just Art and more. She was a children's entertainer for three years for the children's entertainment troupe "Traveling Treasure Trunk" in Massachusetts. She also fundraises for underprivileged children in India for the children's home, Sphoorti, and is starting her own fund called AnuSagar, to promote innovative education methods for children in need.
