The Ann Arbor Concert Band opens their 39th concert season in spectacular fashion, under the direction of James Nissen, presenting "Afternoon at the Opera."

Bernstein Overture to "Candide"
Wagner Trauersinfonie
Bizet Carmen Suite
Meyerbeer Coronation March from "The Prophet"
Copland The Promise of Living from "The Tender Land"
Gershwin Selections from "Porgy and Bess"
Tickets $10 adults, $5 seniors/students; free for children under 12. Tickets currently available from band members or may be purchased at the Michigan Theater box office one hour before the show.
