SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT (1984)
Bearing the
emotional scars of a young boy who has seen his mother and father brutally
murdered by a savage killer in a Santa Claus costume, 18-year-old Billy
explodes into a lethal frenzy – he’s asked to put on a Santa Claus suit himself
to entertain the customers of the department store where he works. Reminded of
the tragic events that have marked his life, Billy embarks on a killing rampage
that is as ghastly – and controversial as anything ever seen on film. (US, 92min, Dir. Charles E. Sellier Jr., 35mm)
TERROR
TRAIN (1980)
Take an excursion into terror with Jamie Lee Curtis and Ben
Johnson in this classic shocker from director Roger Spottiswoode.
It’s
New Year’s Eve and a group of college co-eds have planned a masquerade bash
aboard a chartered train. What they didn’t plan was that a knife-wielding
psycho would crash the party and begin slaughtering the guests one by one!
Who
is this brutal costumed killer? Could it be the mysterious magician (David
Copperfield) with a talent for swordplay… a former frat pledge with an ax to
grind… or any number of other guests, both invited and uninvited?
Climb aboard the “Terror Train” for a frightening combination of blood-curdling
horror and intriguing mystery. (Canada, 97 min, Dir. Roger Spottiswoode, 35mm)
