A seminal figure in feminist art practice of the 1970s, Cuban-born intermedia artist Ana Mendieta (1948-1985) recieved an MFA from the University of Iowa in 1977. This short program of Mendieta's work presents films she made in and around Iowa City and includes Parachute, Blood Sign and Flower Person, Flower Body.
