TALES FROM THE CRYPT: DEMON KNIGHT (1995)

U.S. | 92 mins | Dir. Ernest Dickerson | 35mm

The Crypt Keeper, "one of the hardest-working stiffs in show biz," makes his big-scream debut hosting this diabolically funny frightmare that will leave you shrieking for more.

Billy Zane is the seductively evil Collector, forever in pursuit of Brayker (William Sadler), a mysterious drifter with an ancient key that holds the power to block the forces of darkness from destroying humanity. In his quest for the key, the Collector conjures up a gruesome cadre of cadavers - who have definitely been out of the freezer too long - to bedevil the inhabitants of a run-down hotel. Armed with sacred blood, automatic weapons and really strong stomachs, Brayker, beautiful, strong-willed Jeryline (Jada Pinkett) and other hotel boarders must try to defeat the Collector and his fiendish army. Who among them will make it to the "mourning light?"

Watch your backs, boils and ghouls, while you savor this terrorific tale of good vs. evil that boasts awesome special effects, plus the Crypt Keeper's brand of delightful deadpan humor. You'll die laughing!

NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988) [30th Anniversary Screening]

U.S. | 90 mins | Dir. Kevin Tenny | 35mm

It's Halloween night. And a group of good-time teens has broken into an abandoned funeral parlor with plans to raise a little hell. And that's exactly what they do. For their intrusion has awakened an ancient, demonic evil whose hunger for human souls knows no bounds. And now, the monstrous predator is out to turn their Halloween party into an unending celebration of sheer terror.

The visual sorcery of special effects master Steve Johnson delivers high-voltage shivers in a terrifying encounter of the supernatural kind. So be prepared for an evening of horror you'll never forget. Get ready for the NIGHT OF THE DEMONS.

976-EVIL (1989)

U.S. | 92 mins | Dir. Robert Englund | 35mm

Director Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund dials up a contemporary gothic tale of high-tech horror in 976-EVIL. High school underdog Hoax Wilmoth (Stephen Geoffreys, "Fright Night"), fills up the idle hours in his seedy little hometown fending off the local leather-jacketed thugs, avoiding his overbearing, religious fanatic mother (Sandy Dennis) and dreaming of a date with trailer park temptress Suzie (Lezlie Deane). But his quietly desperate life takes a terrifying turn when his cousin Spike introduces him to an unusual new hobby - phoning in for his "Horrorscope." Because instead of the slightly kinky astrological predictions he's expecting, Hoax is hooked-up with a compellingly demonic force that slowly begins to overtake his entire life. Now there's more than just a phone bill to pay for anyone and everyone who ever dared cross "the neighborhood nerd"...
