Description

Led to Sea (Seattle)

Led to Sea is a magnetic chamber-pop ensemble led by Seattle-based violist, violinist, composer and singer Alex Guy that fuses classical, pop and experimental music.  Her solo show has captivated audiences all over the U.S. and Europe, and draws comparisons to St. Vincent and Andrew Byrd.  As a musician Alex has performed and collaborated with a virtual whose who of bandleaders, composers, improvisers and jazz musicians in the Pacific NW and beyond. Notable collaborators include Sera Cahoone, Jerek Bischoff, Laura Veirs, Ahamefule Olou, Wayne Horvitz, The Seattle Rock Orchestra, Mirah, Amanda Palmer, Xiu Xiu, Paranthetical Girls and many more.

"Led to Sea blew the audience away...You could identify people in the audience who had not seen her perform before because they were picking their lower jaws up off their tables. The performance was nothing short of enigmatic. The layered viola melodies coupled with an incredible voice was enough to hypnotize me for the duration of her set." — Bellingham Herald

Keys & Arrows (Missoula)
The music of Keys and Arrows features a classic sound with a hint of new age and a lot of improvisatory musical storytelling.  This electric duo is the collaboration between keyboardist Kiavash Adibzadeh and violinist/violist Amelia Riley Thornton.  Their original compositions take audiences on a voyage through bygone eras with exotic melodies, warm vibrato, and captivating solos.  Adibzadeh and Thornton initially began performing together in January of 2018 with a Missoula alt-rock band called Ocelot Wizard.  One year later, they decided to begin a duo project to allow for more nuanced arrangements of their works and thus Keys and Arrows was formed.  They are not shy to admit the influences of new age artist Yanni, jazz performers and arrangers Chuck Mangione, Duke Ellington, and Quincy Jones, and electric violinists Jean-Luc Ponty and Andrew Bird.  Keys and Arrows is the newest band on the Montana music scene and they are proud to call Missoula home.
