The fabulous Barbra Streisand gets our special showcase for Women's History Month, as we celebrate her contributions to stage, screen, television and recordings. Clips will include all her greatest movies plus the songs The Way We Were, People, Don't Rain On My Parade,
Stoney End, You Don't Bring Me Flowers, Memory, and Papa Can You Hear Me?

Growing up poor in Brooklyn, Streisand had dreams of becoming famous one day. Blessed with a beautiful voice, at sixteen she began auditioning in Manhattan's theatre district. But the late 1950s she was getting small parts in Broadway shows where theatre critics noted her amazing singing. Babra was soon skyrocketing to fame with starring roles in Funny Girl, which led to a string of hit recordings and television specials, and movies. Always in control of her career, by the late 1960s, Babra was an accomplished songwriter, producer and filmmaker. Her record breaking concerts have famously sold out in just under an hour. Throughout the 1970s to the 80s, she continued starring and directing more dramatic films, the Oscar winning Yentl among them. She eventually was drawn into politics, where she used her talents to help the women's movement, minority education, and to lend a liberal hand in promoting Israel causes. Streisand is among a small group to win two Oscars, 10 Grammy Awards, 5 Emmys, 1 Tony, and a Peabody. She has sold 69 million records worldwide and earned 53 Gold Albums.
