Description

The search for truth has become something of a daunting undertaking in today's world of investigative journalism and reporting. With even the most reputable news sources at risk of being discredited, disgraced or subject to corruption, a league of citizens have banded together to form "Bellingcat", dedicated to investigating the world's most pressing issues outside of the established framework of newsmaking. Bellingcat has found itself at the center of such modern day events as Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which was shot down in Ukraine in 2014. Bellingcat worked to identify the Russian powers behind the crash. Tackling both political, racial, socio-economic issues and more, Bellingcat has proven itself to be a groundbreaking and determined force in investigative journalism.

Press

"The beauty of Bellingcat, both the organization and the documentary, is the way the organization aims to share its methods with others, inspiring old-school outlets such as The New York Times to innovate accordingly." - Variety
