Director Aaron Schimberg Attending!
Aaron Schimberg's latest film, Chained For Life, features an unlikely pair of dreamers on the set of a movie shoot. Cast in a European director's English-language debut, a young actress named Mabel (Jess Weixler) finds herself disconnected from her other co-stars–except for Rosenthal (Adam Pearson), a charming fellow actor with a facial deformity. While the film doesn't clearly state whether Mabel's attraction toward Rosenthal is out of genuine interest, pity, or both, Rosenthal himself is a genial young man whose offbeat humor injects a refreshing energy onto the set. As the story unfolds, we are asked to examine, and in some cases, question, the way physical disabilities are presented on screen. Diving into the realms of black comedy, satire, and noir, Chained For Life keeps audiences guessing as to its true message, with the film set itself serving as a playground of possibility and, as luck would have it, danger.
