Description

Jayro Bustamante's harrowing drama finds a man at odds with his family and his community. Pablo (played by Juan Pablo Olyslager) is a well-to-do father and husband whose family life is sent into a tailspin when he is outed as gay. While at first Pablo is hopeful that he will be able to start anew with Francisco (Mauricio Armas Zebadúa), the man with whom he's been having an affair, he soon finds those around him vengefully closing in. He's fired from his job and ostracized from his devoutly religious family. His wife Isa (Diane Bathen) threatens to keep him from seeing his children if he doesn't undergo "conversion therapy." Meanwhile, Pablo's God-fearing parents can barely hold a conversation with him. With his world collapsing in on him, Pablo is forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that his community would rather shun him than accept him.
