The Sky Room Cafe will be closing at 4 PM the evening of this event.

In 1961, director Stanley Kramer, famous for his hard-hitting controversial dramas, announced he was making a big budget comedy, it was like hearing Quentin Tarantino was going to make a version of Peter Rabbit. The resulting epic, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World became Kramer's most beloved film. Come to the cinema as returning film historian Glenn Andreiev presents a one-night class on this spectacular, hysterical comedy.  Clips from this film, (not showing the entire film) and related films, fill out the evening. Soak in the backstory of stars Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Ethel Merman, Edie Adams, Jonathan Winters, Dick Shawn and "a few surprises" as they seek the riches beneath the Big W.

Glenn Andreiev is a longtime Long Island filmmaker and film historian.   He has lectured at The Cinema Arts Centre, Molloy College, various New York State Libraries, the Northport VA and at The School of Visual Arts where he holds a BFA in Film.   His work as a Filmmaker has appeared on CNN, TruTV, The View and at MOMA.   His latest film is the documentary The Wendy Wild Story
