When Shokoo finds out that her older ex-husband, Fereydoun, has been placed in a nursing home by their children, she and Reza, her second husband, decide to take over care of Fereydoun, in their own home. In this unconventional arrangement, Shokoo and Fereydoun's relationship is significantly transformed. Likewise, this new situation impacts Reza and Shokoo’s daily life and puts a strain on their own marriage.
Director Mona Zandi Haghighi's affecting and compassionate drama of strength and reunion was adapted from a short story she penned that was based on characters in her own life.
Director Biography
Mona Zandi Haghighi was born on October 20, 1972 in Tehran, Iran. She is a writer, director, producer and editor of short films, documentaries and feature films. Her art works belong to the cinema of post-revolutionary Iran, which focuses on contemporary social issues within Persian culture.
