Description

Josh Sanders to shoot live video at the Mars Theatre September 12th .

Josh Sanders is a singer/ songwriter originally from Faulkville, Ga.; a small town about 20 miles from Savannah, Ga. At the age of 14 years old, Josh traded in the saxophone he played in the middle school band for his first guitar. It didn't take him long to realize that playing guitar, singing, and songwriting was what he loved to do. It was something that just came naturally to him. Josh began playing for family, friends, and anyone that would lend an ear and listen to him. He played many campfire shows at his hunting club, where he developed his strong stage presence and audience connection. 10 years after he strummed his first chord, he set out on a trip to Nashville for a vacation. After arriving in Music City, Josh quickly realized that this was where he belonged if he wanted to pursue a career in music, but he knew he needed more stage experience. After returning home, Josh put together a one man, acoustic show and began playing the local bar scene in the areas surrounding Savannah, Ga. His first show was a huge success but only made him want more. With people encouraging him to take his music career to the next level, Josh moved to Nashville in 2010. After his move he began playing the honky-tonks along Broadway and honing his writing craft. Josh has touched many people along the way with his songs, and has gained many fans and friends. He is currently living near his hometown again, where he continues to write new songs and perform them at his shows.  Josh recently opened for Corey Smith at the Music Vault, RedJune at the Mars Theatre, and has been invited to open for Corey Smith again in July 2014. He is currently writing and planning his third album, expected to be released in the early Fall.

“We are excited about having Josh at the Mars Theatre and even more happy that he chose to do record and produce a live video at the theatre” ,says Tommy Deadwyler. “I would suggest that people buy their tickets early.”
