Red Dirt Boys are an American musical group living in Nashville, formed by Emmylou Harris in 2008. Band members include Alabama native Will Kimbrough, Phil Madeira, Chris Donohue, and Bryan Owings.
Their music reflects their love of blues, jazz, rock and country music. If you enjoy the music of New Orleans, Randy Newman and Little Feat, you will love Red Dirt Boys.
Will’s and Phil’s songs have been recorded by Jimmy Buffett, Alison Krauss, Toby Keith, Shemekia Copeland and Little Feat. As musicians, in the studio and on tour, Red Dirt members have played with Emmylou, Buffett, Robert Plant, Alicia Keys, Delbert McClinton, Tom Jones, Ray LaMontagne, Taj Mahal, and many other beloved artists.
