2019 Spring Break: Grade 3-5
Spring Break Camp, April 15th-19th Some of the best movies were inspired by poems! Join us at The Picture House this spring break as we celebrate National Poetry Month and bring poems to life on screen. Emerging filmmakers, young actors, and developing wordsmiths will be inspired by different, well-known (age-appropriate) poems each day. Under the guidance of professional film educators, kids in grades K-2 and 3-5 will learn movie-making techniques, show off their acting skills, and use their imaginations to create short films inspired by timeless prose. Whether it’s the silliness of Shel Silverstein, the dark side of Edgar Allen Poe, or the whimsy of e.e. cummings, there’s something for everyone at our Spotlight on Poetry Spring Break Camp! Sign-up for the whole week or just a day or two, new poets will be introduced each day. Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day with an extended-day option available.

US
Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.
