MCG Jazz' concert hall seats 350 patrons in standard theatre seats and an additional 32 patrons in chairs that are added in the back. When viewing the seating chart, please note that these added chairs are represented by rows P and Q.
The stage is in front of row A and is at the bottom of the seating chart when viewed online. There is a walkway of about four feet between the stage and the first row and the stage is raised off of the ground by about four feet. The auditorium is raked, so that each row is slightly above the row in front of it.
Also, when viewing the map, please be advised that it appears to be reversed. Seat one in each row is on the center aisle. The highest number in each row is closest to the outside wall. There is an aisle between the last seat in each row and the wall.
One of the elite performing organizations in jazz, The Count Basie Orchestra, under the new direction of Dennis Mackeral, has won 17 Grammy Awards including one with New York Voices! The first MCG Jazz Grammy award winning recording "Count Basie Orchestra with New York Voices: Live at Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild" will be revisited in this exciting evening of big band mastery and vocal gymnastics.
