Bob Swann bailed me out of a Ventura County Prison in April 2010. Ever since then I became fascinated with the culture of the bail industry. I did a photo series of bail bondsmen around Los Angeles, which was exhibited in the Bristol Festival of Photography and received a great response. This motivated me to return to Bob with a video camera and discuss what it takes to be a bail bondsman. I got a lot more than I bargained for.

Earn the Day

Non-profit, Earn the Day, was first created in memory of a friend who was lost in the ocean - with the initial aim being to teach children ocean safety skills. Their mission has grown to be much more. They partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco to create a mentorship program for the city's underserved youth. Each child and their mentor work together to create goals and work together on achieving these goals. Every three months these kids are rewarded with an outdoor event exposes them to unique experiences that they normally would not be able to enjoy.
