For two and half years Andrew Goldman was the weekly interviewer for the New York Times Magazine. Known for asking probing and often off kilter questions, he was deemed to have crossed a line first in a tweet to author Jennifer Weiner and then in an interview with Diane Von Furstenberg. He was fired and his life started to fall apart when his Zoroastrian psychiatrist suggested that making this film would be therapeutic. The Desk uses a creative blend of documentary and lightly fictionalized recreations to document this unraveling. -JM
