A one night only screening of the Seattle based opus Shredder Orpheus (1990) by Robert McGinley. To sum up the plot: A Skateboarder named Orpheus and friends go to Hell to stop television signals that are brainwashing America. As a prototype for what would eventually become Shredder Orpheus McGinley made a short film, Orpheus and Eurydice (1983), which the Oregon Historical is proud to have a 16mm print of it in its collection. Both films will be screened together tonight – for the very first time!
