Description

Carol (Arabella Bushnell) is a quiet 30 something office worker, desperately trying to find a way to express herself, and her feelings. To overcome her difficulty of opening up, she tries to take a music therapy course that encourages people to sing what they feel, so it seems like they’re not actually saying it. This winds up getting Carol in trouble, as she begins leaving singing messages on people’s answering machines, including a song for her boss called “Asshole Dave.” Instead of firing her, Dave (Brad Dryborough) finds himself inspired to get back into music, and drags Carol along for the ride. Written and directed by Kris Elgstrand, Songs She Wrote About People She Knows is a hilarious journey from boardroom to recording studio. Official selection at the following film festivals: Toronto International, Vancouver, and Nashville – among others. (William Brownridge, Toronto Film Scene). –Jeff M. Giordano
