Archivist Rick Prelinger is back with a beguiling new film made up of old home movies and studio outtakes that take a journey through the dreamscape of 20th-century Los Angeles. Revealing the hidden histories of the many places made familiar by Hollywood, this poetic film is more about mood than in telling a literal story of a city as it no longer exists. As always, the audience makes the soundtrack! Come prepared to identify places, people and events, to ask questions, and to engage in spirited real-time repartee with fellow audience members. -Chris Metzler
