Description

In Bolivia, the glaciers are melting. This award-winning film follows Samuel, an old ski lift operator, as he looks out of a window on the rooftop of the world. Generations of his family worked in these snowy mountains, but now snow fails. While scientists are discussing ominous changes Samuel continues to honor the ancient mountain spirits.

Pieter Van EeckeBorn in Belgium in 1975, Pieter Van Eecke has studied Philosophy (Ghent State University) and Sculpture (Sint-Lucas Brussels). He works and lives in South America and became a filmmaker. His last documentary about the earthquake in Haiti, the internationally acclaimed Goudougoudou (co-directed with Fabrizio Scapin) was broadcast on television (TV5monde, RTBF, TG4) and was featured at various international film festivals.
