English and German with English subtitles.

USA Premiere.

Meet Felix Finkbeiner, who was just nine years old when he was inspired by Wangari Maathai to start Plant-for-the-Planet, a project that aims to have children plant 1 million trees in each country. Felix fights for his dream to tackle climate change through planting trees, educational campaigns and inspiring other youth around the world to join him and make our world a better place. Felix collaborates with 15-year-old Fardosa from the slums of Nairobi who fights against female genital mutilation and 13-year-old Roman from Iraq who campaigns about child abuse. When it comes to the future, these passionate youth do not want to rely on adults. Over four years we follow Felix as he travels around the world meeting with business leaders and debating with high-level politicians. Through Plant-For-the-Planet, again and again he's able to convince more youth how important it is to fight for their own dreams. Connected globally and with unbelievable energy, these youth work as professionally as adults, and are perhaps even more effective than them. ~ Daniela Rible
